Digital story telling is the focus for fifth grade students this spring. Our stories started with brainstorming ideas, moved into creating our script, and currently we are in the production phase. Students are using Microsoft Photo Story 3 to create digital stories. Photos, narration, motion (zoom and panning effects) and music are combined by students to recreate a historic event, a memory book, or a scientific process.
If you use a digital camera, have photos saved to CD's, or have a scanner, Photo Story can be a fun way for you and your child to explore the use of technology together. One limitation that I have run into is the number of photo's in a project can not exceed 300, however this works great for most projects.
